Aftermath
A sketch from a photo in an old National Geographic. The man in the picture is dusting off a bench after a the Mount St Helens volcano erupted in 1980. I created this in art class with pastels and ink.
The Seagull
This a sketch created with ink and charcoal. I wanted the hands to look like worn wooden posts rising from the sea. Its a combination of photos from the dunes in Bouctouche, NB.

Grand Falls-Windsor, NL
My old apartment in Grand Falls-Windsor. I lived here in the summer of 2007. It was my first reporting job in Newfoundland. The apartment was about a 20 minute walk from work. I walked a lot. It was a good summer.

shed door
This is a finished sketch of a shed door in Seal Cove, White Bay. It only took a couple of days to draw the outline. But several weeks to complete the ink work.
